WGES Environmental Impact Statement

#WGES Organizers will give preference to venues, host cities, transportation and suppliers that have active and ongoing sustainability programs and policies.

Specifically, preference is given to transportation suppliers that:

-Offer vehicles propelled by electricity or low emissions fuel (methanol, ethanol, propane or natural gas)

Offer fuel efficient vehicles

Recycle used oil, vehicle batteries, antifreeze, and tires

-Follow environmentally responsible maintenance practices, including:

-The use of re-refined oils

Regular maintenance and emissions testing of vehicles

-Minimized idling by drivers

-Minimized use of air conditioners (where climate permits) and Environmental initiatives above and beyond those listed herein.
